Not only this, but to continue our commitment to ensuring a sustainable textiles industry for the future, we have pledged to make all our clothing carbon neutral by the end of 2021. This, and we will be making our office completely carbon by 2023. We believe the time is now to make a lasting, helpful impact on the fashion industry, and we are starting right here with our ethical men’s clothing range.
What makes Mitch Dowd Australia recycled clothing unique?
Whilst the amount of recycled clothing in the textiles industry has gone up, with 14.7 percent of accounting for all textiles in 2018 (EPA), there is still a hell of a lot to be done if the textiles industry is going to reduce its harmful impact on the environment.
Unfortunately, many of the world’s largest fashion producers are caught in their ways, dedicated more to making a profit than to making a lasting change for future generations. But this doesn’t mean that we adhere to this selfish grain: as a progressive label with an eye for environmental fashion (both in production and design!) we are committed to continuing our dedication to planet earth and the way clothing is produced within it.
